Brendan Trewella

CEO & Founder


Over 15 years, Brendan has dedicated his life & career to growing the small business and nonprofit community which has culminated is his founding of Small Organization Solutions. His unique approach and perspective is fueled by a varied background of local and international experience with a diverse pool of organizations with focuses ranging from medicine to art and design. Through his work at SOS, he hopes to stand in the intersection of community, creativity, change and design solutions to spark ideas into action.

Josh Maxwell

CIO & Creative Director


Josh’s current perspective as a designer results from his 8 years blending fine art, graphic design, and community development. Utilizing these diverse skills, he guides the work of the SOS Creative Team to engage and impact the people and communities that interact with the work they create. Through his work, he consistently provides that quality standard and signature mark of passion and purpose to all of the projects he designs.

Breanna Kulkin

Photographer & Stylist


Breanna Kulkin is a local photographer and stylist for Small Organization Solutions as well as a practicing freelance photographer. Her penchant for topographic and cultural landscapes around the world gave way to her love of capturing the people and landscapes of Cleveland, with a special love for its food scene. Kulkin’s work has been featured in local media publications such as Crain’s Business, Edible Cleveland, Cleveland Scene Magazine, and Cleveland. com among a long list of other print and digital publications.

Hien Tran Nguyen

Photographer & Designer


As a graphic designer and photographer for SOS, Hien dedicates his skill and energy to best represent clients and partners in marketing their brands. Through visual elements, he is able to help business owners communicate their products or services to the targeted audience effectively. Hien's motto has always been "Better design, better businesses, better Cleveland".

Brandi McElhatten

Content Marketing and Development


Brandi is the Content Development and Marketing Strategist for SOS. Her passion for all things handmade, and her experience selling at craft shows, lead her to lend her skills to promote other small businesses. With a passion for creativity and strategy Brandi enjoys helping other people tell their story. Brandi's curious nature helps her stay on top of what's new, fresh and next. She was born on an island in the Pacific and now resides blocks away from the great Lake Erie with her family and a small brigade of tabby cats.

Rachel Hunt

Content Development & Entertainment Coordinator


Rachel Hunt is an arts enthusiast and is committed to music and visual arts promotion through original, innovative reporting via multiple media platforms including radio, blogging, and printed media. She is currently a consultant for SOS as a professional writer and live music coordinator. In the past she has lent her services to Cleveland cultural events like Brite Winter Fest, Heights Music Hop, Weapons of Mass Creation Fest, and as a facilitator for DIY community events at local and national venues.

Ewyn "Tsang"

Community Outreach & Engagement Coordinator


Ewyn Tsang, "E", has a long history of working with our local community; in fact she is very known to be actively involved with many different organizations throughout the city of Cleveland and Akron. Her active involvement with these communities allows for her to be able to enhance the experience in each and every organization she works with. Ewyn enjoys lending to our homeless community, immigrant/refugee community, and to our local small shops because she knows this impact can be a major life changer.

Shana

Community Outreach & Engagement Coordinator


From planning the behind the scenes logistics, to running the day-of tasks for projects, Shana keeps it all held together. She's always ready and willing to step in to help where needed so the job gets done perfectly. Shana gets the biggest joy out of seeing others thrive, which is why working with the SOS team means so much to here, because she sees exactly how much her energy and passion can have on others around her.

Adam Gruber

In-house Fabricator


Adam Gruber is a craftsman, and visual artist who earned his BFA in textile design from Kent State University in 2009. Today he uses paint, wood, and other common building materials as his inspiration for his craft. In his deigns he focuses on the application of texture, pattern, and structure to create unique environments, fixtures, lighting, and art. He believes in the handmade and takes pride in his craftsmanship.

Niki

Urban Planning & Sustainability Coordinator


Niki specializes in sustainability and GIS analysis. She earned a B.A in urban planning from Cleveland State University and is passionate about community development. Niki has worked on a variety of projects and studies in Cleveland, such as low income housing and abandoned/vacant property research. Her expertise in spatial analysis allows us to track and evaluate our clients impacts across the country. Niki also operates our urban agriculture initiatives and is an urban shepherd for SOS.

Bob "Trewella"

Financial Advisor


Assertive, results-focused business leader with success as a financial manager, controller, budget manager, strategic planner, and project manager with major global companies. Functions effectively as a business partner to management, working with all departments to improve cost efficiency and bottom-line results. Peri

the Greyhound


Peri is the tribe cheerleader, pep-talker, and heart-melter. She keeps the office vibes fun and reminds us to not sit too long at our desks so we can get out and enjoy all of Cleveland's neighborhoods for a nice long walk. She'll be sure to make you smile with kisses and cuddles, but only after you give her a cookie. Needless to say, we go through a lot of cookies!
